Homework is due at the beginning of lecture. See syllabus for late homework policy.
Guidlines for homework:
- Homework should be written up completely and clearly (a final draft, not a first draft).
- You may work together, but your write-up should be your own words and you should understand everything you hand in.
- Complete and clear work means that another student in the class should be able to understand your solution without filling in details.
- Only use the methods discussed in the lectures/textbook. Using other methods, or a calculator/computer, will not earn credit.
Additional Problems:
- These problems are not to be turned in, but it is highly recommended that you do them.
- Cristobal will present solutions for a selection of these at the optional sunday night problem session (Sundays starting at 7pm in Goldsmith 300). You may also email Cristobal questions (or perhaps to suggest problems you'd like to see on Sunday) or myself about them.
- All problem numbers refer to both editions of the textbook unless otherwise noted (they are the same problems, just numbered differently).
